About the Authors...

John Kohler has been on the living and raw foods diet since 1995. He turned to living foods for healing from a life threatening illness (spinal meningitis) and has enjoyed dynamic health ever since. Today, John Kohler is a leading proponent in the living and raw foods movement. The focus of his research has been in the areas of obtaining the highest level of health and longevity.

An entrepreneur at heart, John started the company ( in 1998 through which he offers raw food appliances to the public at discount prices and is now considered the number one expert on raw food appliances and gadgets in the world. His YouTube channel for can be found at:

In 2009, John started his YouTube channel ( where he shares his wealth of healthful living knowledge. He is widely sought out and regularly speaks and instructs at many raw food events and festivals. His areas of expertise include recipe demos with 5-7 ingredients or less, traveling while raw, raw food appliances, successfully transitioning to a whole foods plant-based diet and also how to continually improve and take your healthy lifestyle game to the next level.

In addition to educating the public about healthy foods and kitchen appliances, one of John's other (possibly greatest) passions includes organic gardening. On his Growing Your Greens channel, John teaches all aspects of gardening and how to grow the highest quality, most nutrient dense foods at home.

Lauren Sofka is a healthy lifestyle enthusiast and promoter. Lauren began her plant-focused healthful living path in  2013 after struggling with declining health for over a year and receiving little to no results from mainstream modalities or medications. After switching to a whole foods, plant-based diet, she not only recovered from her illnesses, but has enjoyed much greater levels of health ever since! Lauren's primary passions include performing and teaching music (holding her bachelor's and master's degrees in Flute Performance) and sharing her passion for healthful living with others.
